Website Builder how-tos
How do I add a new page in the Website Builder?
Click Pages in the left sidebar, then click New page and give it a name. The page address updates from the name, and if your menu is set to automatic, the new page appears in your site menu on its own. Drag pages up and down in the list to change the menu order.

Before you add pages
A small business site usually needs only a handful of pages:
- Home: what you do, where, and how to reach you
- Services: or one page per main service
- About: who you are, how long you have been doing this, service area
- Contact: form, phone, email, hours, map
- Legal pages (privacy policy). Templates often create these for you.
One page per main service tends to work well for search, because each page can focus on one job, such as "Water heater installation in Bend."
How to add a page
- Open your site: Client Area > your service > cPanel > the Website Builder button, then edit your domain.
- Click Pages in the left sidebar (or Pages in the top menu).
- Click New page.
- Type a name, for example "Roof Repair." The page address (URL) is filled in from the name.
- Click the page name to open it. It opens in a new tab at the top of the editor, so you can switch between pages.
- Add sections from the left sidebar, or copy sections from another page.
- Save.
How to make a page appear in the menu
Double-click your site menu to open its settings. There are two ways it can work:
- Auto: the menu is built from your page list. New pages show up automatically, in the same order as the list.
- Custom: you choose each menu item yourself. Add an item and set its link to Page, then pick the new page.
If you add a page and it does not appear in the menu, your menu is probably set to custom.
How to make a drop-down (sub-menu)
- In Pages, find the three lines next to the page name.
- Drag the page so it sits under the page that should be its parent, such as "Services."
- Keep dragging it to the right until it snaps in. An arrow shows it is now a sub-page.
With an automatic menu, "Roof Repair" will now show as a drop-down under "Services."
Reuse your header and footer
If a new page is missing the footer from your home page, you do not have to rebuild it. On the home page, select the whole footer (use the breadcrumb trail at the bottom), right-click and choose Create reference. Cut or copy that reference and paste it on the new page. A reference stays in sync with the original, so if you change your hours in the footer once, every page updates.
Rename, hide or delete a page
- Rename: click the page name field in Pages and type. Note that the address may change too. If the page is already live and people link to it, tell us and we can help set up a redirect.
- Hide from search engines: the page settings (cog icon) include an option for whether search engines should list the page. Useful for a thank-you page.
- Password protect: the page settings also let you lock a page with a password.
- Delete: use the page's menu in Pages. Deleting cannot always be undone, so save a backup first.
Do new pages go live right away?
No. New pages are part of your draft until you click Publish. After publishing, open the new page on your phone and check the menu works.
